August 19, 2025 — Intercontinental Strait Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (“SETC”) and Chengdu Lauemps Technology Co., Ltd. (“Lauemps”) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony was attended by Guo Jianchun, President of Southwest Petroleum University; Ren Shan, Chairman of Lauemps; Guo Qingsong, General Manager of Lauemps; Zhou Yuanhong, President of Strait Energy Co., Ltd. (“Strait Energy”); as well as Li Bingnan, Chairman of SETC; Chen Jianlin, President; and Zhang Fuxiang, Chief Technology Officer.
During the ceremony, Chairman Ren Shan extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from Strait Energy and SETC. He emphasized that both Lauemps and SETC are technology-driven enterprises within the oil and gas sector, dedicated to addressing critical challenges in oil and gas exploration and development. With their commitment to professionalism and market-oriented operations, the two companies have developed highly complementary business advantages and share extensive opportunities for collaboration. Ren highlighted that Lauemps and SETC will deepen mutual trust, pursue mutually beneficial cooperation, and explore broader integration at the capital level with sincerity and openness.
Zhou Yuanhong, President of Strait Energy, remarked that Southwest Petroleum University is an internationally renowned higher education institution with strong expertise in oil and gas. He noted that the “Lauemps–Southwest Petroleum University Joint Laboratory for Industry–Academia–Research” serves as a benchmark for deep integration of research and application. Zhou expressed gratitude to the university for its support in facilitating this strategic partnership. Since its establishment, Lauemps has earned an outstanding reputation and attracted the attention of leading investment institutions. Zhou further stated that SETC and Lauemps share aligned philosophies and complementary business portfolios, and that following the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement, the two companies will advance collaboration in technology, markets, talent development, and capital investment, jointly building a model of cooperation within the industry.
On behalf of Southwest Petroleum University, President Guo Jianchun welcomed all attending representatives. He emphasized that Southwest Petroleum University, one of China’s first “Double First-Class” universities, adheres to the principle of balanced development of oil and gas, with a distinctive focus on natural gas. The university’s Reservoir Stimulation and Productivity Enhancement Innovation Team has been recognized as an Innovation Incubation Team by the Ministry of Education and as one of the first Young Scientific Innovation Teams in Sichuan Province. Leveraging this strong academic and research foundation, the “Lauemps–Southwest Petroleum University Joint Laboratory” has already achieved a series of significant results. Guo noted that the establishment of a strategic partnership with SETC marks another milestone in advancing the “industry–academia–research–application” collaborative innovation model.
The signing ceremony and discussions were also attended by professors and researchers from Southwest Petroleum University, along with senior representatives from Strait Energy, Lauemps, and SETC.
